VALORANT™ makes its console debut with an upcoming limited beta.

Riot Games, the developer and distributor of video games, has today announced that VALORANT™, their acclaimed free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter featuring characters, will soon be available worldwide for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5 (PS5®) players.

The limited beta will launch on June 14, 2024, in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan, with other regions likely to follow shortly. Andy Ho, Executive Producer of VALORANT, and Arnar Gylfason, Production Director, announced at the 2024 Summer Game Fest the arrival of VALORANT on consoles and its imminent limited beta, marking a milestone for Riot Games’ expansion in this market.

The Xbox and PS5 versions feature gameplay tailored to meet the stringent standards of the VALORANT competitive experience. Maintaining high standards of competitive integrity in VALORANT was and remains a top priority in expanding the franchise. Cross-platform play between PC and consoles will not be allowed to uphold these standards. However, VALORANT players on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 will share their inventory and progress across platforms, linked to their VALORANT account. All updates, including new agents, maps, premium content, and other updates, will arrive simultaneously on both PC and consoles.
